Delicious shrimp scampi and chicken parmigiana! Desserts were equally delightful. Delivered quickly and still hot!

Ordered chicken scarpiello for pick up on my lunch break. It doesn't come with soup nor salad and cost $25. My food was ready on time. The sauce was thick and buttery. The amount of chicken and mixed peppers were perfect, I'm greedy so I could have used a bigger side of fettuccine.

Very good Italian food in Stamford! This is another example of Stamford being one of best food cities in the Westchester/Fairfield county area. Pellicci's is a lovely Italian restaurant located within the city of Stamford. It has been around for a long time and is a neighborhood favorite. It is large, with three different dining areas and a waitstaff that is responsive and helpful. We had one bad experience with a server who made three mistakes at one of our first visits to Pellicci's, but we haven't seen him for a while, and the other servers we've had since have been great. My favorite dish is the lobster ravioli. That's what I get when there aren't any tempting specials. In the fall, they have a squash/pumpkin ravioli special that is also highly recommended. I hear the veal Marsala is also very good. Dishes I would avoid are the seafood lasagna special and the seafood bisque special. They both sounded amazing but were actually pretty disappointing.

Came across this Italian restaurant while visiting Stamford, looking for a fine dining atmosphere with affordable prices, near our hotel. We parked on a side street & braved the cold walk to the restaurant. Upon entering we were blasted with comforted heat & greeted by the seasoned & homely hostess, who sat us immediately. The atmosphere had a family air to it. Other diners appeared to be regulars & were enjoying their time chatting with the waiters & waitresses. The bar was visible & many were in their watching the games, joking around. Our hostess doubled as our waitress & was very patient with us as we looked over the extensive menus & took our time choosing. Our choices consisted of Fried Mozzarella for the app, Chicken Parmesan & Chicken Scarpiello for the entrée, both with salads, & Creme Brulee for dessert. The app was absolutely delicious! We had an in depth discussion on them. Landing on decision that they were freshly made in house & are not frozen. The shape of the fried mozzarella were various round shapes & the cheese was gooey, with a little cheese pull. I haven't had one like it anywhere else. The house salads were also cold, fresh & crisp, just how I like it. The portions were impressive. The Scarpiello had so much flavor. I found myself soaking up the sauce with the table bread. Which was our second basket since we were going to town on the dipping oil we concocted while reviewing the menu. Unfortunately, the Chicken Parm & creme brulee fell short for us. The breading & cook of the chicken were spot on, but the tomato sauce tasted like it was poured out of a can & no seasonings were added. Additionally, there was barely any cheese on the chicken. The dessert was lacking. The top was barely crusty & didn't have the cracking sound one hopes to hear from torched sugar. The creme had an odd texture & was a slightly gritty. This is one of my favorite desserts so I was disappointed. However, we did leave full & it didn't have much regret since the prices were decent.

Pellicci's Ristorante is a historic Italian restaurant that opened in Stamford, Connecticut in 1947. It was founded by husband and wife Frank and Frances Pellicci. The origins of the restaurant go back to 1938 when Salvatore "Sal" Sullo opened up Sullo's Restaurant in Stanford's Italian West Side neighborhood. Sullo's specialized in coal-fired pizza and spaghetti. By 1946, Sullo moved his restaurant to a larger location across the street. A year later, Frank Pellicci and his business partner Stanley Ogara took over Sullo's. By 1950, the Pellicci family had become the sole owners of the restaurant and it officially became 'Pellicci's Ristorante'. Over the years, the Pellicci family expanded both the building and the menu. Several celebrities dined at Pellicci's over the years, including Walter Cronkite, Joe DiMaggio, Nancy Sinatra and Tony Bennett. Today Pellicci's is owned by Frank and Frances' daughters Toni Pellicci-Lupinacci, Frances Pellicci-Caminiti, and daughter-in-law Ann Pellicci, while several more family members work in the kitchen. It is the oldest family-owned restaurant in Stamford. I recently dined at Pellicci's with my wife's family. My wife grew up in Stamford and ate at Pellicci's several times with her family, but this was my first visit. From the bar, I ordered a "Wave Chaser IPA" by Montauk Brewing Company. It was piney, citrusy and refreshing. For appetizers, we ordered a plate of "Bruschetta Pellicci" for the table to share. It was served with the mozzarella melted: a nice touch! Pellicci's has some excellent pasta dishes! My son had Ravioli with Vodka Sauce, my wife had Lobster Ravioli, my sister-in-law had Penne ala Vodka, and my mother-in-law had Tortellini Pesto. Some of us were in the mood for pizza (which is unfortunately no longer cooked in a coal-fired oven). I ordered "The Amalfi" (red pie, mozzarella, rock shrimp, clams, bacon, garlic, basil, parsley, red pepper) while my father-in-law had "Il Bianco" (white pie, ricotta, parmigiana, mozzarella). Both pies were excellent! We had an excellent meal at Pellicci's and I look forward to returning in the future!

If you are looking for an old school Italian american restaurant then this fits the bill. The calamari is a must order lightly breaded and fried a great appetizer. Clams casino were fine. Not outstanding but fine. Veal parm was nicely pounded and tasty. For desserts ordered the carrot cake and tiramisu. Tiramisu was adequate. I'd pass on the carrot cake since it was heavy and dense
